We are currently recruiting a Sales Assistant for our Enfield store.
As a Sales Assistant, it is your primary responsibility to deliver excellent customer service. Must be able to work on the tills and manage cash, have a basic knowledge of key lines within the store in order to help customers, know where the products are located and have an understanding of some key features. If working on a certain department, you will be required to have specific product knowledge about that department. Work as part of a team to ensure that the store is merchandised to Smyths Toys standards and that these standards are maintained. Ensure that the store is kept clean and tidy and that all of the shelves are packed down correctly to avoid gaps, staff must be able to work delivery and action any price changes that may need to be made. Ensure that all Click and Collect orders are processed correctly and make sure that safety is always a priority for staff and customers, and adhering to manual handling guidelines you must be alert and aware of surroundings, informing managers or security of any suspicious activity
Has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Is able to work under pressure and follow instructions
Is a good communicator with a friendly and approachable manner
Has basic IT and computer skills
Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our employees to be as flexible as possible when it comes to availability. Weekends are our busiest trading days so it is likely that you will be required to work on these days.
