The Order Picker (known internally as E-commerce Warehousing Operative) is a key part of the Company’s E-commerce Supply Chain based in Bradford. This is a growing team with potential to develop beyond this role as the operation grows.
The role will involve all normal elements of warehouse work with primary duties to pick and pack customer orders and replenish stock as required.\
Ideally, we are looking for an individual with previous warehouse experience who can commit to working 5 days per week Mon-Fri. We are looking for a highly motivated warehouse operative, with good time management skills the ability to work alone or part of team.
Job responsibilities:
Receipting goods, checking quantities against paperwork, taking note of damaged or missing items and locating by hand / forklift.
- Picking and preparing goods for dispatch against paperwork by hand / forklift – stacker
- Bagging and labelling of stock
- Stock take
- Warehouse Organisation
- General housekeeping / cleaning of warehouse
- Work closely with office team to ensure all paperwork is receipted / located correctly.
- The nature of the job can be physically demanding i.e. heavy lifting on a regular basis.
- Picking customers orders with fine detail for quality.
- Maintaining a warehouse to the correct standard.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
Person Specification
- Forklift license is essential for this roll
- Warehouse experience minimum 2 years
- Good Communication, numeracy & organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
- Possibility of overtime / on call during peak periods
- To have excellent IT skills and familiar with Microsoft office, word, excel.
- You’re able to work in cold areas of the warehouse (warm PPE provided)
- You’re experienced in following processes and procedures and working in a fast-paced environment where timescales and targets are important
- Once trained, you’ll be able to keep up with pace of work
What you will do
- Processing goods in & goods out
- Stock organisation
- Managing the control of all stock
- Recording deliveries
- Contacting suppliers to raise enquires on availability of stock and price
- Undertaking stock counts and updating the operations systems
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Forklift license is required
- Manual Handling which includes heavy lifting
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £10.60 per hour
