Job description
Role Purpose:
Reporting into the Warehouse Team Leader, you will assist in the smooth running of all areas of the warehouse on a 4/4 shift pattern, by providing an efficient service by working to defined company / department practices and procedures whilst working as part of a team. You will also be a part of maintaining agreed standards of hygiene, GMP & departmental daily checks to ensure that the warehouse is ‘audit ready’. You will also be expected to promote good standards of Health & Safety by raising warehouse specific near misses to your team leader to drive improvement actions.
Key Responsibilities:
· To help manage the transfer of finished goods to an offsite storage facility as per the defined streamer schedule to ensure all chases are prioritised and completed where possible to protect service.
· To assist in the unloading of site equipment and storing externally in the yard.
· Liaise with production to ensure all product requests are serviced in a timely manner from goods in.
· Attention to detail and a positive attitude towards all day-to-day requirements.
· Play a part in making sure that all the stock throughout the various sections of the warehouse is stored/labelled correctly as per the site-specific floor plans.
Knowledge Skills & Experience:
· Level 2 food safety/allergen awareness.
· Ideally some sort of previous warehouse experience.
· Valid FLT licenses would be advantageous – however training can be provided.
· SAP system knowledge or exposure to a similar system would be beneficial.
