We are an ever-expanding home and garden business operating via mail order only. We are currently in search of a Warehouse Operations Manager to assist with the day to day management of the business and assist with our expansion plans.
Job Description
As our Warehouse Operations Manager you will be responsible for the management of our overall E-commerce operations. The role will require you to manage the SHS Trading LTD online operations and you will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control and safety measures as already established and set for the entire business. Ensure safe, efficient and productive operations. A main part of the role will be collaboration with the Leadership Team on how effectively to expand and increase the revenue for the business moving forward.
Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems & revenue.
Carry out Managerial responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Manages the growth and success of the business by ensuring a smooth operations of the warehouse.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Directly manages and directs all the Warehouse Operational staff
- Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements.
- Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.
- Responsible for all warehouse supervisors and operatives, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
- Manages the stock control and checks that inventory records are accurate and up to date in accordance with all relevant guidelines and deadlines.
- Creates a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labour to revenues.
- Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties.
- Addressing employee performance and corrective action plans including disciplinary action.
- Makes sure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment.
- Organises, plans, and implements inventory activity.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Provides guidance to employees.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Prior Managerial Experience of warehouse setting is highly advantageous.
Highly Organised & self-motivated.
Production and Planning Skills
Understanding of Stock Management Systems

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
