Job Title: Response Steward
Hours of work: Matchdays Only
Rate: £13.52ph (matchday rate of £67.60 for 5 hours, OT available)
Location: Loftus Road Stadium
Responsible to: Response Supervisor
Role Summary:
To ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the safety of all customers, staff and visitors attending any event. To help create and maintain a safe environment, your priority is safety and to be part of a team of stewards and stadium staff.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure as you will be roaming, and may be called to deal with conflict, disorder, breaches of the ground regulations, searching and ejecting spectators.
You are QPR Football Club’s front line in meeting and greeting people and you will help, advise and guide visitors to the stadium.
Identifying and reporting any incident, occurrence or hazard among spectators and report to a supervisor.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- General Customer Services.
- To help create a safe and comfortable environment for spectators by ensuring that there is no public disorder or if it occurs that it is eliminated in a safe manner.
- To enforce the ground regulations and deal with people or assist the police in dealing with those who are committing offences.
- Ensure that gangways and exit/ evacuation routes are kept clear.
- Selectively search spectators to prevent prohibited items under the ground regulations being brought into the stadium.
- Eject people from the stadium who are committing a criminal offence and/or breaking the Ground Regulations.
- Monitoring access and egress points.
- To prevent/manage pitch incursions.
- In an emergency to assist in the evacuation of members of the public.
- To assist in creating a safe environment anywhere on the stadium complex including the car parks and road system.
- Providing information and direction.
- Responding to accidents, incidents as directed.
- A good knowledge of the internal areas of the ground and stand they are assigned to.
- A good knowledge of the Venue Evacuation Procedures and Safety Requirements.
- To manage capacities and behaviour through proactive observation of, and interaction with people attending the event

Experience
- Previous experience of managing spectators at sporting events.
Licence/Qualifications
- SIA Door Supervisor License
- NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 8 per week
