The Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Manufacturing plant in Thirsk, North Yorkshire on a permanent basis.

The Role*
The Warehouse Manager is accountable for storing and transporting all inbound / intake materials and sending finished goods to the Distribution Centre. Supported by a team of 40 the Warehouse Manager has overall area responsibility for the* 24/7 Warehouse operation*, including Safety, Quality, People, Cost & Delivery.

Key Accountabilities:*
- Deliver warehouse productivity and efficiency targets to store and dispatch goods in line with the agreed requirements and principles
- Continuously monitor raw materials/ingredients/packaging and finished goods to ensure that all are stored safely in the designated areas and FIFO principles followed
- Monitor and review labour deployment to ensure that the availability and alignment fits with the requirements of the department
- Effectively communicate with the operations team, ensure materials as required are delivered to operations teams required by plan, highlighting any risks to the achievement of volumes and standards
- Promote a People safe culture within the department, complying with procedures, accident investigation, corrective actions and completing near miss reporting, promoting a safe working environment
- Monitor and review team capability, ensuring all colleagues are clearly focused on their key objectives and are developed to maximise their potential
- Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through maintaining equipment, ensuring service needs are followed, effective use of pre start checks and driver competence.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in same / similar role across FMCG
- Experience of managing diverse high performing teams in a complex manufacturing environment
- Experience of implementing / improving and operating a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- IT Literate including Microsoft office
- Be able to demonstrate good literacy and numerical skills with the ability to communicate clearly.

- Salary: £ Competitive + 10% bonus
- Hours: 40 hours - Monday to Friday (days)
