The role
To work as an HR Business Partner providing a professional advisory service to managers at all levels and contribute to the development of corporate HR policy in order to achieve aims of the HR Strategy and University Plan. Initial appointment to support the Faculty of Arts but HR Business Partners can be placed in any part of the university.
What will you be doing?
You will be a fully integrated member of the Faculty HR Business Partner team and provide professional support to your business area advising on staffing issues and HR policy. Key elements of the role include: analysis and reporting; providing advice, guidance and support to managers on ER issues, policies, employment legislation; building effective working relationships with stakeholders; facilitating the resolution of employee conflict; participation on Committees as HR expert; liaising with central HR services and colleagues as well as other professional services teams including Finance Business Partners.
You should apply if
You should have excellent organisational and communications skills and up to date knowledge of employment law and current HR issues and best practice. You should also be used to balancing a busy workload, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in your approach as well as building good working relationships with staff at all levels.

28 hours per week, to be agreed
