Main duties and responsibilities
- Build effective relationships with customers in order to pre-empt all of their needs, including customer site visits with the Business Development Team where required.
- To build accurate forecasts for your customer portfolio which are regularly updated and communicated as required internally.
- Accurate processing of orders and credit notes, preparing weekly stock sheets, monthly sales and stock figures, specification sheets and annual waste figures.
- To be the first point of contact for new sales enquiries from external Business Development Team and directly from customers. To process those enquiries as directed by internal procedures.
- Ensuring new enquiries and specifications are managed through the end to end process to ensure timely turnaround.
- Daily cross functional liaising with external Business Development Team, credit control, the warehouse team, production and design.
- Being proactive in maintaining our high standard of OTIF by correctly reporting complaints, prompt provision of technical information and responding to customers once the complaint has been investigated and resolved.
- Updating ERP records to ensure the most up to date customer data is always available.
- Actively assisting in the management of aged stock.
- Attending and participating in team meetings where required to ensure all members are fully briefed of any changes.
- To upsell/cross sell where applicable and to outbound call to attract new customers/book appointments for new business development team.
- To achieve KPI’s set for the department and individuals.
- To assist in internal audits where required.

- Previous experience of account management/sales
- Used to being the “face of the organisation”

- Flexible approach managing work within the specific deadlines
