About Us
Wild Water Group is Wales' leading provider of temperature controlled warehousing and distribution services. Our strong position in Wales has allowed us to expand into England and we have continued our consistent growth despite the pandemic with a cold store network spanning across South Wales and England.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Site Manager to manage the workload of our warehouse-based colleagues in our Cardiff cold store.
Role Aim:
To lead and motivate the team, ensuring everyone is working to the best of their ability. To ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products, and implementing operational efficiencies as required.
Role Duties:
Site operations
- Planning delivery and despatch of products when required by customers
- Organising your team's workload; carrying out daily briefings to allocate tasks to individuals
- Ensuring all products are stored safely in the correct locations
- Liaising with customers and Group operations management and any other relevant parties to ensure that everyone is fully informed of any issues
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and daily check sheets are completed
- Ensuring the warehouse and chambers are kept clear, clean, and tidy, and working efficiently
- Recommending and implementing system or operational upgrades and improvements
- Utilising all space effectively and reducing wastage
- Monitoring service levels
- Recording and reporting H&S incidents in line with procedures
- Monitoring the chambers' temperature app and reporting any issues to Group operations management and Maintenance
- Ensuring site maintenance works are reported and completed
- Ensuring the site is fully stocked of cleaning and catering supplies
Managing your team
- Leading and managing all warehouse and site office employees
- Ensuring there are sufficient staffing levels at all times and covering the site office when colleagues are absent
- Managing sickness and other absences, ensuring documentation and meetings are completed within set timescales
- Partaking in all aspects of the recruitment cycle, including interviewing, onboarding, and conducting inductions
- Leading investigations and other formal meetings as required
- Reporting of employee hours to the payroll team
- Ensuring colleague concerns are dealt with efficiently and respectfully, and reporting issues to the Group Operations Manager and the HR team as necessary
General
- Taking responsibility for your own health & safety and that of others
- Maintaining compliance with the Group's policies and procedures at all times
- Maintaining confidentiality and observing data protection and associated guidance where appropriate

Qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years' experience working in a site/warehouse supervisory role
- REACH Truck, PPT, and Counterbalance licences or experience are desirable

- Flexible with an ability to work outside of office hours when required
Hours
- Monday to Friday 8.00am to 16:30pm (40 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch each day)
