Van Driver wanted in Reading
HOURS - 08:15 - 17:00
Responsibilities:
To be the company’s “Service Ambassador” with our customers.
To deliver and collect work to and from branch and our customers.
To accurately record each customer delivery and collection according to current work instructions (via Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or route manifest as applicable).
To ensure the security and safety of any vehicle or property or customer property.
To load and unload cages from vehicles that contain both clean and soiled linen. On certain routes this could also involve movement of hampers bags to and from customers premises as well as cages.
To wear the correct and clean uniform as appropriate.
To ensure that all contact with our customers is honest, polite and helpful at all times.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Job Type: Temporary contract
Salary: £11.92 per hour
