Job description

I am working with a global leading manufacturer within the supply of heavy construction plant they are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Depot Manager preferably with a background in heavy equipment hire or engineering to manage their busy depot in Exeter, Devon.

As Depot Manager you will ensure service delivery levels to customers are maintained at exceptional levels. You will proactively manage the team, drive the business forward and efficiently manage engineering workshop, field service engineers and commercial / customer relations.

Key responsibilities

• Using your customer relationship and people management skills alongside excellent multi-tasking experience you will handle all depot hire requests to meet delivery timescales.
• Ensure service department is in order(schedule all repairs, maintenance and servicing utilising engineering team)
• Manage a multi skilled team of staff
• Endure customer focus is at the heart of all activities
• Deliver excellent communication and organisational skills
• Prioritise work load and work under pressure to strict deadlines
• Previous experience of the hire process and previous exposure to construction equipment would be an advantage but not essential
