YOUR ROLE
Our fast-paced operation in Darwen, who provide FMCG and ecommerce warehousing and distribution services for a specific client is looking to recruit an experienced and forward-thinking Warehouse Manager who will provide leadership, operational and customer service excellence.
This excellent opportunity will see you leading a team of diverse operational individuals across two core shifts, Monday to Friday.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Senior General Manager, you will lead a team of 4 direct reports, circa 100 indirect reports plus agency resource where you will provide management control through effective planning, organisation, and communication to ensure all KPI targets are achieved. You will implement strategies to form a team that creates, sustains, and embeds a culture of employee engagement and high performance across a unionized workforce.
You will drive performance improvements through auditing processes and reporting mechanisms and identify, evaluate, and implement continuous improvement projects in collaboration with internal teams ensuring all activities remain within quality and budgetary targets.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of leading operational teams with significant experience within warehouse/transportation operations, ideally a 3PL or FMCG environment.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional client relationships, possess strong people management skills with the ability to coach and develop others and be a skilled decision maker, negotiator and influencer who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels.
Experience of cost models and budget tracking along with strong report writing and statistical investigative skills are also key requirements for this role.
