Education and Work Experience Requirements:
College and/or University level business degree. Successful completion of A-Level and/or GCSE’s.
If candidate is not from the UK, then successful completion of a similar level of education is required. Training is provided on-the-job and off-the-job.
Additional experience below would be beneficial (but not required): Successful completion of NVQ/SVQ Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Job Description:
- The Warehouse Manager will supervise storage for all inbound and outbound goods. This will include making sure the stock control is adjusted correctly for our Sales representatives to sell the goods received.
- Ensuring inbound goods are stored in the correct location to utilise the space in the warehouse. Inbound goods are handled in the appropriate way due to us having goods that are both chilled and ambient goods.
- Checking inbound goods against the purchase order to ensure correct goods have been received. Maintaining quality control of goods and reporting any damaged goods to our purchasing department and taking appropriate action. Ensure dates of goods received are the correct expiry dates to ensure the goods have enough shelf life before we supply them to our customers.
- Pro-actively running regular stock control checks/inspections to check for goods that have gone out of date, damaged or deteriorated in quality.
- At the same time looking to review and enhance existing processes. Report them to the Managing Director for Reviews. The processes to enhance would be the handling of goods, distribution policies and stock control.
- In charge of assigning shifts to our staff, to maximise use of labour and additional resources.
- Effectively communicates with the purchasing department and Sales Department to regulate goods required for current and future order schedules.
- Using our warehouse management system to ensure our pickers maintain a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Running reports for the following below (excel): To identify the number of orders being picked by each picker. Goods that have come with wrong expiry dates.- pass information to the purchasing department. Goods that have been identified as damaged - pass information to the purchasing department.
Job Requirements:
The candidate will have the ability to support others and be an excellent team player. Showing full commitment to your team, with the ability to be flexible while working multiple tasks and retaining a high level attention to detail.
As you will be talking to customers providing customers with information on products and prices, you will support the development of customer relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Previous experience with driving Forklift would be beneficial.
