Job description
Role Purpose - To be responsible for managing all aspects of Warehouse/operation activities at this facility. To also be responsible for the actions and conduct of depot staff ensuring at all times the depot working practices and processes adhere to all current legislation's (HSE, Employment, etc).
To be responsible for and comply with depot standards as set by the company and sustain highest levels of customer service, efficiency and professionalism
Key duties and responsibilities –
· Be responsible for all stock elements to include goods receipt, storage, pick and pack for despatch to our customer base. This is to include the use of a Forklift (Training to be provided)
· Co-ordinate and oversee all vehicle fleet elements including ensuring that daily van runs are timely and accurate at all times
· Ensure all transactions are recorded onto company main operating system (CAMEO).
· Manage the day-to-day deployment of depot staff members as necessary so as to complete daily tasks.
· Ensure compliance with reporting systems, depot standards, levels of customer service, vehicle inspection routines and any other bespoke requests, however conveyed.
· Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures and fabric of depot premises to company depot standards as instructed by the company ongoing.
· Ensure depot is compliant with business objectives and this is monitored regularly.
· Achieve and monitor the required payroll, headcount, distribution and service level Key Performance Indicators as agreed with senior management team.
· Develop team members, recognise, retain and develop talent throughout the business.
· Review individual performance, behaviour and other key attributes via scorecard and 1:1 review in line with company strategy.
· Represent the company in a professional manner at all times when dealing with suppliers and all internal / external partners.
· Ensure all H&S legal responsibilities are completed as required, including monitor and review
Working hours - Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm, Saturday between 8:30am and 12:30pm (except for selected bank holidays).
Salary - Negotiable and depending on experience, knowledge of the Tyre Industry, stock management and wholesale distribution models a benefit.
