Client Care Advisor / Receptionist – Part Time

Companion Care Kidderminster have an opportunity to join our reception team in our modern and spacious practice within Pets at Home Kidderminster. We are a busy first opinion small animal veterinary practice.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a naturally empathetic approach, as often our clients are dealing with stressful situations and look to you for support and empathy. A positive, resilient attitude is essential.

Our team has a real family feel and our client base are lovely- it does not take long to become a familiar face with our clients. Our practice is busy, and no two days are ever the same.

The role is primarily client facing, dealing with appointments, client enquiries and taking payments but will also include some cleaning and basic administrative tasks including scanning and filing.

Core skills required for this role include:
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and on the phone
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • Good IT skills, confident user and ability to adapt to different systems.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong admin skills
  • A desire to provide exceptional customer care.
  • Resilience and ability to respond positively to feedback.
Hours:
  • Our opening hours are 9am to 7pm (Monday to Friday) and Saturday mornings (9am to 12.30pm).
  • Ideally, we are looking for 28-30 hours per week. We work on a 4-week rolling average so flexible working is key. For example, some weeks you may work 25 hours whilst the next you may work 31 hours but on average you will have worked 28 hours per week.
  • Shifts may range from 5 hours to 9 hours per day depending upon the rota and holiday cover requirements.
  • Shifts are likely to be a mixture of 9am-2pm, 1pm-7pm or 9am-7pm plus 1 in every 4 Saturday mornings.
