Main purposes of job

· warehouse area to fulfil orders to the required specification and standards.

· To be part of the warehouse team to ensure that orders are dispatched on time.

· Accept, check and intake all deliveries and ensure allocated to warehouse as per procedure

• Maintain hygiene standards and the implementations of all procedures to meet BRC, GMP & HACCP systems
• Participate in monthly stock takes

· daily running of the warehouse including goods in and out and ensuring all customer deliveries requirements are met

Key Tasks

Warehouse Responsibilities

• pick what stock/packaging is required for production and liaise with ordering to ensure stock is prepared for production, identify stock issues that can affect production.
• Receive deliveries against agreed specifications, complete goods in paperwork and store as appropriate
• Pick raw material and packaging items required for next day’s production and Supply production with all raw material and packaging requirements promptly
• Collate customer orders, wrap and store as required. Complete dispatch sheets with all relevant information – case counts, juliennes, pallet numbers.
• Reach truck driving and manual handling of materials into storage areas not accessible by the Reach Truck
• Working outdoors in all weathers and in the cold storage area

Distribution Duties

• Cover in absence of the warehouse & transport coordinator the third party storage & transport efficiently
• Cover as required all distribution and transport to ensure delivery dates are met and goods are delivered to customer requirements e.g. Labelling of pallets, GIST IDD documents and other customer requests
• Ensure distribution records are accurately kept up to date
• Complete dispatch sheets with all relevant and correct information – case counts, juliennes, pallet numbers.
• Proficient on computer and all Office applications

Production Duties

• If and as required cover as production operative in the bakery assisting with the production of cakes and biscuits

Key Responsibilities

· Part of the warehouse and transport team ensuring high standards at all times and safe working environment at all times

· Liaising with production and transport to ensure prompt shipment of product.

· Maintaining GMP/Housekeeping at a high level within warehouse and yard.

· Ensure warehouse and yard conform to health and safety legislation, policy and standards, identifying any required actions so that the area of responsibility is healthy, safe and accident free.

· complies with all food safety policies and procedures, (e.g. HACCP, BRC) in order to meet the requirements of professional and legal standards.

· Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards throughout designated areas, including promoting the principles of basic food hygiene and good housekeeping.

General Responsibilities

· Ensure compliance with company internal processes and procedures including H&S.

· Food Safety & compliance to Quality Manual and Company Policies.

· Office duties as required including answer telephones, office housekeeping and general duties.

· H&S of warehouse, yard and production office

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £9.50-£11.00 per hour

• Cheltenham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Reach truck licence (preferred)
