A day in the life of a Shop Assistant will involve:
  • You will assist the shop manager to run a profitable, customer-focussed shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
  • You will help to create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.
  • Working on the shop floor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, operate the till, and create eye-catching displays.
  • Behind the scenes, you will be responsible for sorting stock and preparing items for display.
To be a successful Shop Assistant, you’ll need:
  • Previous experience of working in a retail environment and are confident with handling money
  • To be a strong communicator who thrives on delivering excellent customer service and enjoys meeting lots of different people
  • Commercial savvy with an understanding of hitting targets
  • To understand and anticipate each customer's needs and delight them with the service provided
