Pay Rate: £30,500
Contract Type: Permanant Full Time
Shift patterns: Rotational Shift Pattern Earlies and Lates (7am until 3pm and 3pm until 11pm)
Location: Daventry (Crick Area)
DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL
- • Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI's • Effective team management including planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirements • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policy / processes • Ensure adherence to company policies and processes • Process paperwork and operate IT systems as required
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous and practical experience as a supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices. Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders. Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports. A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well received.
