Role Overview:

JD Group have recently opened a brand new DC in Derby to support the ongoing strategy and growth within the group. We are looking for individuals who love to train and inspire others and are passionate about ongoing learning and development within a fast paced strategy. This role will help to deliver the Operational strategy through the training team by supporting the management on site by ensuring the training department are aligned to the business needs.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To support the People Development Manager in achieving required shift performance through delivering specific training initiatives to individuals and groups
  • Conducting site inductions, setting new starters on T&A system
  • Develop & implement the operational capability of the colleagues through training and coaching across our new DC
  • Liaise with People Development Manager and operational managers to manage delivery of the training plans through effective organising and planning
  • To be a role model for standards of safety, product care and Key Performance Indicators; communicating these standards effectively to the site
  • Support operational project delivery through facilitating training resource required for projects and effective delivery of operational training
  • To part of regular site Trainer Meetings to share best practice and discuss ways of improving the overall site training provision
  • Maintaining site SOPs and training documents
  • Ensuring compliance by maintaining Training Matrix / records
  • Will be a Subject Matter Expert for specific operational area
  • Working within the operational areas as and when required
  • To build relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively and be the face of JD
  • The role is required to be flexible and adaptable as and when instructed by the People Development Manager

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:

  • Demonstrates excellent communication, influencing and partnering skills
  • Basic MS office skills is required
  • Ability to solve problems when arise
  • Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Experience in working within a DC environment preferable but not essential
  • Possesses a growth mind-set, high levels of resilience and able to work within a fast paced and growing environment
  • Proven track record of design and delivering learning activity, which is digital first and focused on performance development, aligned to business objectives
  • Ability to flex working hours and areas as and when required
