IT Application Support Engineer (Purchasing / Facilities)

The role of an IT Support Engineer will involve support for our Platform Team’s software products, with at least 5 year experience.

The suitable candidate for the IT Support Engineer position will have good commercial experience working within an IT support role, through 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line support and preferably have some industry recognised qualification.

Your responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the Incident and Problem Management process using our ITSM system.
  • Troubleshoot production Incidents and manage Work Orders for property and procurement systems with focus on escalation and resolution whilst meeting SLAs
  • Liaise with internal business stakeholders, application support teams and various management teams throughout the Bank.
  • Maintain knowledge articles and support documentation
  • Identify opportunities and implement improvements

You will have:

  • Experience of supporting bespoke applications, either on-prem or SaaS with working knowledge of purchasing and facilities management tools, (ideally Concept Evolution), Expenses tools (ideally Fraedom) and travel tools (ideally HRG or AMEX GBT)
  • Experience of working in an Agile way, managing a workload in a Sprint format
  • Thorough understanding of Finance and/or Procurement processes with a focus on P2P and T&E processes (development, management and application of)
  • Experience with SQL Databases (SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle PL/SQL queries, basic support).
  • Excellent analytical skills in the areas of incident management and problem-solving.
  • Strong ability to resolve issues partnering with technical, procurement, finance teams and vendors to implement change as required.
  • Interest in navigating a complex and demanding systems landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proven strong documentation and planning.
  • Strong Teamwork skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £475.00-£500.00 per day
