Job Title: Warehouse & Blending Shed Operative
Work Location: Jubilee Mill, Murton, York, YO19 5UT
Hours of Work: 40 per week, working five eight hour shifts across 7 days allocated by business need. Will include some work on weekends / Bank Holidays.

About the role
We are looking for a communicative, passionate and determined individual to join our team at Thompsons.
In this role you will be responsible for the safe operation of site functions within the Warehouse and Blending shed, as well as Mill holiday cover. Vehicle loading and unloading of raw materials and feeds to meet business needs.
We are looking for someone with high standards, who can remain accurate while working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferably applicants with previous experience within this line of work and or and interest or background in agriculture would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
· Packing and bagging products, including lifting and carrying weights of up to 25kg in the warehouse.
· Accepting deliveries, safely unloading and correctly storing raw materials and other goods.
· Holiday cover for the Blending shed operator and Mill to assist at peak times.
· Managing stock rotation of raw materials and bagged feeds.
· Maintaining, repairing and keeping the warehouse clean, as well as other site areas as required.
· Testing product samples on intake and public weighs using the company weighbridge.
· Safe and clean production of animal feed and other Company produce.
· Completion of any associated paperwork, acting as a point of contact and liaising with key staff to ensure that the business operations run smoothly.
