What to expect
To shape, define and deploy Organisation Design & Development strategies and interventions which support the achievement of ‘Working Exceptionally Together’.
The HR Organisation Manager will work alongside the Head of HR and local HRBPs to drive the creation, ongoing development and deployment of a relevant and value adding organisation development strategy within 4 UK manufacturing facilities and across manufacturing engineering functions (circa 2300 Blue Collar production workers and Circa 2000 White collar engineers). Linked to the organisation development strategy, the HR Organisation Manager will work alongside the Head of HR to ensure exceptional talent attraction and acquisition strategies are deployed via the operational recruitment teams that support us.
The role holder must focus on ensuring the organisation design, development and talent acquisition strategies and associated interventions align with the people strategy for their area(s) of responsibility and the relevant Company wide strategies. Ultimately the role holder will deliver initiatives which will ensure the way we organise ourselves, work together and attract critical talent to Jaguar Land Rover creates competitive advantage.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
In partnership with the HR colleagues and the Business, lead the people element of the organisational development process which leads to the creation of a structure and organisation- Lead the development of talent attraction and acquisition strategies for multiple production and engineering areas, ensuring our recruitment partners source the best diverse talent for critical roles.
- Project manage the people related change processes which lead to the deployment of the new model/organisation
- Lead on Transformation agenda in the function, that relates to organisation design & development
- Assess and advise on the people related legal, reputational and financial risk of the organisational design & development interventions recommended.
- Ensure potential employment issues arising from organisational design & development (e.g. redundancy, redeployment, relocation, TUPE management etc.) are managed appropriately – work in partnership with the Centres of Expertise and collaborate with the TU/ I&CF as required.
- Lead the deployment of the annual operational resource planning cycle in correlation with the annual business planning cycle
- Co-ordinate the creation of the recruitment prioritisation plan to be fed into the RPO model
- Work with the experience leads to ensure effective initial on-boarding process
- Frame the affordable and feasible organisation by coupling SWP recommendations with organisational design & development requirements
- Lead on organisational governance procedure and associated tools, e.g. role codes
- To create, develop and deploy people related organisational change plans required to achieve business objectives and the work place of the future, as identified via SWP and organisational development
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions deployed and strive for continuous improvement
- Manage the budget, timeline, resources for the interventions deployed
- Engage and seek input from relevant stakeholders (including internal HR teams, external partners, employees, TU representatives) and manage the relationships as required in partnership with HRBP and the Centres of Expertise
- Ensure all interventions align with the business unit/functional people strategy and the relevant Company-wide strategies
- Travel will be required as appropriate in the role.
What you’ll need
Experience of developing and managing the deployment of organisational development strategies across multiple locations and diverse colleague groups- Broad generalist HR experience, ideally with strong experience in organisation design in large complex, blue-chip organisations.
- Experience developing talent attraction and acquisition strategies for specialist critical skill hires as well as time sensitive volume recruitment.
- Governance and risk management skills. Strong project management skills
- Proven track record of leading the successful deployment of large scale people related projects/programmes. e.g. insourcing, outsourcing, TUPE, offshore etc. Ability to plan and manage delivery through other teams (e.g. in other countries, sites)
- Highly collaborative working style. Ability to shape strategic direction and enable implementation, while influencing at all levels of the business. Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisation and flexibility of approach. Proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
- Ability to create and sustain excellent relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong team player
- Strong coaching and influencing skills
- Accurate data management and manipulation skills, with high levels of attention to detail
- Strong business acumen - ability to build business cases and present return on investment
