We are looking for a Nights Warehouse Assistant to join our Fareham distribution centre. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be working as part of a team in a busy FMCG environment, undertaking the receipt, storage, replenishment, picking and preparation for dispatch of goods.
Warehouse Assistant responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Goods receipting
- Picking orders and deliveries driven by WMS tasks
- Stock storage and replenishment, driven by WMS and utilising LPNs
- Packing and wrapping goods in such a way as to best utilise space and prevent stock damage
- Forklift operation involving loading and unloading of vehicles and stock locations
- Ensuring that all warehouse tasks are completed efficiently
- Maintaining housekeeping and H&S standards within the warehouse
- Ensuring that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the company’s procedures and requirements

- Ability to make a positive contribution and work well with the team
- Ability to plan and organise own workload and follow clear instruction
- Ability to work under pressure to meet business-critical deadlines
- Good attention to detail
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Comprehension of health and safety requirements
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure and the cost of poor quality
This is a physically demanding role and mechanical aids are available.
Hours of Work: you will need to have the ability to work a 40-hour week, Monday to Thursday 20:30 – 05:00 & Friday 18:00 – 02:30.
