Sense is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to work 37.5 hours per week at our donation station in Swindon on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting time to join our team and work in our network of over 120 shops as we continue our exciting shop growth programme. We are looking for someone to lead and inspire an enthusiastic team, drive delivery of standards, operational and customer service excellence - all to maximize vital income generation for the charity. As part of the Donated Stock team you will be supporting to drive additional growth in volume and quality of our stock generation of clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, books & media, and furniture to support delivery of offer across our estate of shops to drive income generation. The Donated Stock team are responsible for collaborating with area managers and shop teams to grow the volume and quality of stock generated by our shops and within the shop’s local communities.
Some key areas of ownership for the successful applicant include:
To assist in effective management of donated stock in our warehouse hub and effective support to the donated stock team in stock generation activities:
Meet and great donors/members of the public.
To understand and advise donors about Gift Aid and its importance to the charity.
To maintain records of income stock through the door at our donation station.
Each year, over four million people buy an item from us, so our shops play a pivotal role in raising brand awareness and income to make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
Key skills and experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and supportive to other team members.
Excellent experience of dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care.
Experience in stock handing and stock management
Experience of managing varying priorities effectively.
This position requires the applicant to be willing to work Bank Holidays and weekends as required.
