JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant
BASE: Speke
DEPARTMENT: Retail
REPORTING TO: Online Sales Supervisor
WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per week
CONTRACT: Permanent
SALARY: £18,964 per annum
Overall purpose of the role:
To support the Online and Logistics teams to provide high quality goods and services to our supports and shops around the region.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Locating the correct goods as per customer orders using eBay locations and serial numbers
- Understanding the parcel delivery and courier process
- Inspecting goods for damages or faults before they are packed
- Using supplied packing materials to safely and securely package goods, ensuring they reach their destination intact
- Process donations, Corporate or general to the agreed standards and timescales to minimise stock loss and maximise income for the Charity.
- Source products from our warehouse for our retail outlets and online shops
- Take a pro-active approach in the generation of donated stock
- Maintaining stock levels and order of donations, merchandise and packaging materials
- Act as a role model for volunteers, ensuring quality of training and the Charity standards are met
- Provide great customer service and donor experience, attracting new supporters and maximising gift aid
- Assist Logistics team in preparation and loading of vehicles
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness are met, general housekeeping of warehouse
- Ensure the Health and Safety of your colleagues and volunteers
- Establish quality standards, consumer safety and ensuring continuity
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse
- To respect confidentiality of all information obtained whilst working for the North West Air Ambulance Charity
- To consistently demonstrate the NWAA core values in all interactions with colleagues, volunteers and supporters

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
- Experience of producing excellent customer service in the Retail sector.
- Knowledge of Gift Aid procedures.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety within the Retail sector.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
Skills
- A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Pro-active team member.
