Based in Tottenham, North London, we are a growing flooring company looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our busy team. The role involves assisting the Warehouse Manager in the efficient running of the warehouse operations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, trustworthy and hard-working individual who enjoys working in a team environment. Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential for this role and a forklift licence is a plus.
Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour
Benefits: 28 days paid holiday a year
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-4pm
Contract: Permanent
Main duties for the Warehouse Assistant position include:
- The accurate cutting and marking of all flooring materials as per the measurements provided
- General warehouse duties, ensuring stock is sorted and processed in a quick, precise manner
- Load and unload deliveries
- Keeping the warehouse and service area clean
- Report any concerns, problems or issues relating to products/orders to your Manager immediately
- Complete all necessary administration and recording in accordance with Company guidelines
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety, Quality, Security and Environmental compliance standards
Requirements for the role:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Valid clean driving licence preferred but not essential
- Self-motivated, hard-working and an excellent team player
- Able to efficiently and accurately follow instruction and demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a flexible approach to changing circumstances with a willingness to take on new tasks
- Methodical with the ability to use initiative and common sense
- Strong time-management skills

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
