Job description
Responsible for the effective management/Support and control of all Engineering Planning activities.
- Provides Support to Engineering teams for visual management and Obeya methodologies before and during project execution.
- Effective management and control of all Engineering Planning activities in pursuit of Predictable Execution.
- Includes both strategic and tactical planning activities to ensure on time delivery and execution of Engineering work packages across the REMS organization.
- Works to avoid disruptions in engineering execution by managing capacity constraints across the backlog and forecast demand, ensuring On Time Delivery to our internal/external customers.
- Ensures the synchronization of delivery schedules across value streams.
- Serves organization of up to 50 engineers.
- Works with Global Engineering Planning Manager to define the Objectives and KPI’s for Engineering Planners.
- Ensures the implementation and improvement of the Company standards and procedures.
- Contributes towards, maintaining and implementing corporate QA & HSES Management System objectives and procedures.
- Develops standards and procedures, ensuring that they are in line with the recognized best practices in the area.
- Analyzes UDP for Commercial opportunities in support of True North.
- Proposes for each project the adequate organization of the Planning & Scheduling discipline, the staffing plan, methods and tools required for the project.
- Collects Project Planning feedback and implement lessons learned during project execution.
- Provides timely information and analyses toward the achievement of project objectives for project stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress, control multiple projects and provide accurate and updated status reports
MAIN TASKS
- Responsible for all product deliveries (award - engineering - execution) within assigned Region(s), PDT’s or product lines.
- Supervises all assigned areas of the project engineering schedule and project controls for REMS engineering.
- Responsible for the alignment and standardization of the Engineering Planning organization.
- Meets performance goals for team in line with the department's goals and TechnipFMC's strategic goals.
- Collaborates with employees of assigned team.
- Attends quarterly performance reviews between Engineering Manager and Lead to ensure development agreements and timely performance feedback is being communicated.
- Works with management to implement and support global policies, regional policies, and best practices for Engineering Project Planning and Project Management/Project Coordination in support of successful execution of projects and True North Industrialization.
- Prepares/consolidates reports including consolidated E-Milestones, schedule analyses, project controls, and resource planning as required.
- Reviews and assists with negotiation of contractual documentation as and when required.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for project coordination and Engineering scheduling.
- Possesses a service oriented business mentality and models this behavior. Ensures identification and recognition of individuals within the organization who exhibit service business mentality.
- Continuously monitors performance to forecast and implement any necessary changes to the Engineering project plans with visual management tools (Obeya, Digital Visual Management, Engineering Brick Wall, etc.)
- Represents REMS in a positive manner in events with stakeholders in our business.
- Leads alignment with all TechnipFMC Values, Safety, and Quality Policies.
- Leads and facilitates the continuous improvement of the processes and methods to increase scheduling and execution efficiency and performance w.r.t standards.
- Knowledge of Project Planning tools like Primavera, MS- Project etc…
- Deep understanding of the business principles for the Oil & Gas industry.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of ‘planning and monitoring’ of the various projects - EPC/EPCM/EP/FEED/ PMC Projects (Green / Brown Field) & Revamp Projects.
- Supervision experience related to planning.
- Thorough understanding and experience in Project delivery processes and principles
- Basic knowledge about the LEAN Processes and Global Business Process Management System (GBPMS).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
- At least four years of experience in Project Scheduling, Project Planning, Operations or other related field.
- Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately.
- Strong ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to upper management, including internal/external partners.
