I am a bright, cheerful young man in my early 20s and as a full-time wheelchair user I require support through the night from a Waking Night Personal Assistant.
As I am non-weightbearing and unable to move or reposition myself, I am looking for someone to help with my evening personal care routine before putting me to bed, and then to assist me at regular intervals throughout the night.
Evening assistance with personal care, using my overhead ceiling track hoist, and my Vendlet turning system attached to my profiling bed.
- Regular checks throughout the night including pain management
- Repositioning me using the Vendlet turning system when required.
- Full Personal care if required during the night.
- Assistance with Non-invasive ventilation as required.
- Skin awareness, breakdown and prevention monitoring
- Dispense and administer medications as directed.
- Regular admin and note keeping
- Domestic tasks
Days and times of work:
24 hours per week: 2 x 12hr shifts, 7pm – 7am.
The days of work can be agreed with the post holder as we have some flexibility.
