We’re not your typical HR Consultants. We work collaboratively with small businesses across a variety of sectors to provide outsourced HR support. Our clients think of us as an extension of their team so you get to build great working relationships, just like you would in an inhouse role. We don’t only advise our clients, we also get to do the work, this makes our roles truly generalist. That might mean you are focussing on recruitment one day and change management, employee relations or reward the next. Our clients are entrepreneurs and creative thinkers so we are ready to push the boundaries of traditional HR approaches, while still keeping their practices legally compliant.
We are looking for an HR advisor who is ready to step up into a Junior Business Partner/HR Consultant role. You will have a solid grounding in employee relations work but be looking for more exposure to HR projects and to build on your stakeholder management experience. Reporting into one of our experienced HR Consultants, you will support across all areas of HR work for a specific group of clients. You will also work with the founder and your manager to develop and support a new HR service line being launched in 2023.
You will be part of an experienced and supportive team of Consultants, meaning there is plenty of opportunity for learning and development. This is a varied, generalist role and a great steppingstone toward becoming an HR Business Partner or Consultant.
Responsibilities:
Providing high quality, responsive HR support services to our clients.- Advising and managing employee relations processes as needed.
- Coordinating recruitment processes and effective onboarding programmes.
- Overseeing the leaver process, carrying out exit interviews as needed
- Supporting the policy review process
- Assisting the HR consultants with projects such as creating performance management processes, developing training, salary benchmarking, benefits reviews
- Supporting and coaching managers to deal with people issues.
- Preparing standard HR documentation such as contracts of employment, policies and procedures.
- Signing off any HR administration work undertaken by our central support team.
- Responding to any inbound new business enquiries, developing support proposals as needed
Requirements:
You’ll be used to advising on a broad range of employee relations topics- Commercial acumen. You’ll be able to solve people management challenges while meeting business needs. You’ll also be interested in a career in HR consulting
- Self-motivated. You’ll be working flexibly and often remotely from the team, but with regular contact.
- A problem solver, able to spot patterns in issues that arise and suggest solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Your interpersonal style will need to give confidence our clients and fit with our culture. You’ll also be great at building relationships.
- A passion for delivering a high level of customer service and to doing great HR work.
You will be be based at home, attending client sites as needed. All of the team have the autonomy to manage their own schedule around work and any personal commitments. The majority of our clients are based in London but there may on occasion be a requirement to travel to other locations, including our Sevenoaks office for occasional meetings.
You may have experience of the following: HR Advisor, HR Manager, Human Resources, CIPD, Senior HR Advisor, HR Generalist, Human Resources Manager, Employment Law etc.
