Solus, a prestigious high-end restaurant located in the vibrant district of Holborn, London, is seeking skilled and dedicated Waiters/Waitresses to join our professional service team. As a Waiter/Waitress at Solus, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional dining experiences to our discerning guests, delivering impeccable service and creating a memorable atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Guest Service: Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage options, and confidently make recommendations to guests.
Order Taking and Processing: Efficiently take and accurately process guest orders, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are accommodated, and communicating them to the kitchen and bar teams.
Table Set-up and Preparation: Set up tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and linens, ensuring a polished and inviting dining environment.
Food and Beverage Delivery: Serve dishes and beverages promptly and elegantly, following proper service techniques, and ensuring attention to detail in presentation and timing.
Upselling and Revenue Generation: Suggest and promote additional menu items, specials, and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Payment Handling: Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and adhering to the restaurant's cash handling procedures.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams, maintaining open communication to ensure smooth service flow and overall guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including resetting tables, tidying up stations, and assisting with general restaurant cleanliness as needed.
Guest Feedback: Actively listen to guest feedback, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally to ensure a positive resolution.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred, but we also welcome candidates with a passion for exceptional service and a willingness to learn.
Customer Focus: Dedication to providing outstanding customer service, with a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
Knowledge of Food and Beverage: Basic knowledge of food and beverage terminology, ingredients, and service techniques, or a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge in these areas.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order taking, food delivery, and payment processing.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
Professional Presentation: Well-groomed appearance and adherence to the restaurant's uniform and grooming standards.
Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
