Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance. Our main purpose is to support and grow a strong, vibrant, and accessible voluntary sector which both influences as well as supports delivery of key services to improve outcomes for residents in Sunderland.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team and work to support the voluntary and community sector across the city.
We offer flexible working with a combination of home and office-based arrangements.
Volunteer Co-ordinator
37 hours per week
Salary: £23,000-£25,000
2 year fixed term contract with potential for extension pending additional funding.
Main Duties
You will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting and matching volunteers with opportunities across the city. You will drive recruitment campaigns and promote volunteering opportunities within voluntary sector organisations, you will also match corporate employees with volunteering opportunities, maintain accurate records and contact information for volunteers, update social media and website platforms with opportunities.
