The role
To work within our repairs service as part of our senior management team to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard of quality and customer care, with time and cost managed and compliance monitored and controlled.
Co-ordinate and take a hands-on approach to managing void property repair orders from start to finish for the customer to a high standard of quality and satisfaction. Provide technical expertise, problem solving and guidance ensuring effective repair solutions are provided right first time.
The post holder will be provided with a van and mobile phone for work use.
About you
The successful applicant will have experience in specification writing and fault finding within a variety of building structures. You will need to have a sound trade background and knowledge of how to rectify faults within building structures.
You will be able to demonstrate a history of managing both direct labour and contractors, ideally (not essential) voids contractors and/or in-house void teams.
You will have a proven record of health and safety training including in-depth knowledge of Asbestos awareness.
Experience not essential but preferable working within Voids environment, with an appreciation of key-to-key process, and supporting improved performance across the voids work stream
You will have the ability to work closely with other teams across the local authority, such as Neighbourhood Officers within Housing Management.
