Your role @ CHANEL:
Design, Produce and Support all Trade and Promotional activity for F&B UK and Travel Retail | Design of Internal F&B Events | Design & Create local initiatives | Uphold Brand Image | Design, Produce and Support PR Events | Design, Produce and Support Training Events | Support the Graphic Designer | Supporting the UK Region with capacity overflow of Design activity | Supporting other internal activity such as Wellness@CHANEL, Internal Logo Design and Social Commitment @ Chanel
The Visual Designer roles works alongside the other Visual Designer’s on the team, as well as the Graphic Designer in supporting the Visual Design Manager. They are operational keystones in the design and execution of all trade, promotional, PR and Training event activity for the UK. Working closely across almost all UK departments including our UK Marketing team, UK Retail team, UK Travel Retail team and UK PR team the Visual Designer’s initiate and deliver both Global and local concepts for both Domestic and Travel Retail markets, from initial design right through to installation. The scope also includes designing for large retailer conferences, local in-store retail events, internal office marketing events, internal social events, training activity, plus, offering support to our Global Corporate team if required. The role also supports the UK Region is there is an overflow of projects and events.
Communicating closely and maintaining relationships with our supplier network is also key, as well as ensuring that project budgets are kept in line. The role must ensure that projects are briefed on time, managed alongside the Visual Design Project Manager and installed on time and within budget.

Design, Produce and Support all Trade and Promotional activity for F&B UK and Travel Retail: Supporting the Marketing and Retail teams to implement strong design and creative solutions.
Designing 3D concepts for UK Retail and Travel Retail spaces based on global guidelines
Creating design proposals and technical layouts in 2D and 3D for the UK Domestic market including local and travel retail (Sketchup experience required)
Supporting these concepts through to completion, delivery, installation and derig
Designing in an environmentally responsible way, considering new, sustainable initiatives within budget considerations and managing the end-of-life cycle of these materials
Working closely with the local design team and wider VM team to ensure successful completion of all projects to a high standard
Working with the wider team on larger projects including KEM’s
Designing retail event and masterclass rollouts
Working within global guidelines to produce visually exceptional campaign collateral
Artworking, layouts and communications across a variety of ongoing projects to support trade activity
Communicating closely and maintaining relationships with our supplier network
Design all internal F&B Events including Marketing, Training, PR and General Staff Events: Supporting the Marketing, Retail, Training, PR and other departmental teams to create interactive and engaging events.
Working closely with internal departments to create engaging and interactive design concepts for staff events such as product launches
Working with the PR team to create high-profile Open-Door PR events in Head Office and externally for influencers and magazine editors, including design, PM, installation and derig
Working with PR to create events in our standalone boutiques in collaboration with the School of Makeup
Creating technical layouts in 2D and 3D for these departments and working with suppliers to produce the various collateral required
Designing in an environmentally responsible way, considering new, sustainable initiatives within budget considerations and managing the end-of-life cycle of these materials
Artworking, layouts, approvals and communications across these projects to support the activity
Support all 2D collateral in collaboration with the Graphic Designer: Support the Graphic Designer within the team to create local 2D collateral for the F&B business.
Support the Graphic Designer in producing various documents from design concept to print
Working closely with the Graphic Designer to produce 2D collateral associated with campaigns
Designing in an environmentally responsible way, considering recycled and recyclable materials
Working alongside our procurement team to source samples and quotes for 2D projects
Working with the training team to create 2D material to support events
Supporting other internal activity such as Wellness@CHANEL, Internal Logo Design, Staff Events and Social Commitment@Chanel: Supporting the internal teams and other departments with design assistance as well as take part in these activities to support the wider business goals.
Designing and producing emails, invitations and internal collateral to support Wellness@CHANEL events
Supporting all internal teams with creation of logos and other locally designed initiatives
Supporting internal teams with design assistance for invitations and occasional events
Ensuring that our field teams / Queensway based teams are also included within the design of events
Getting involved with Social Commitment at CHANEL to build networking opportunities and support where possible across the business from a design perspective

Supporting the field visual merchandisers and wider design team in numerous day-to-day tasks
Working alongside our 5 Queensway display team with logistical tasks and storage requirements
Careful and considerate project managing of tasks ensuring strict timelines are kept
Working fluidly across wider internal teams with the ability to ‘wear many hats’
Managing your own workflow as well as considering workflow within other teams to ensure projects are completed on time, in budget and to the standard required
Completing any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role

What you will bring to the role:
At least 1 year experience within the industry is preferable but not compulsory
Strong interest in Retail and VM Design and keen to stay curious
Sketchup knowledge is essential and VRAY (or otherwise) rendering experience preferable
Qualification in a design subject is desirable
Ability to design with a CSR mindset and sustainable thinking
Fluent in the Adobe Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
Fluent in the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Ability to work proactively in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Team player mindset with the ability to confidently work self-sufficiently
Able to commute to a London-based office and able to work remotely if required
