Impact, on and off the pitch
The FA Education Team are looking for a Video Production Technician to conceptualise, produce and edit video content that aligns to FA Education's learning and coach development principles. You will be involved in the full production process, organising and creating dynamic, innovative, engaging video content for use across all of FA Education's digital channels.

What You'll Do?

  • Create engaging video content across a wide range of channels with a high level of competence, using a range of Adobe software.
  • Contribute to the full production process and lead on pre-production and production.
  • Be proactive in sourcing new opportunities / making the most of existing ones.
  • Experiment with different production approaches to ensure variety and innovation in visual asset production.
  • Be proactive and contribute innovative suggestions to drive creative solutions and practice.
  • Liaise with external vendors where required to support visual asset production.
  • Lead on maintaining the digital asset management system (archiving RAW files and consent forms).
  • Undertake associated administration to support video production.
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What You'll Need?

Essential for the role:
  • Ability to work within a team to create innovative video concepts across multiple platforms.
  • Experience of using editing and motion graphic software within a video/media production environment.
  • Ability to ensure all deadlines are met throughout the post-production process.
  • Experience of working to a written brief and coming up with creative ideas to resolve issues.
  • Ability to create bespoke assets that show knowledge of and a consideration for social media audiences.
  • Organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience as a self-shooting camera operator, ideally with experience of shooting sport.
  • Have good working knowledge across a range of Sony video cameras.
  • A passion for learning new things.
  • Flexible approach to working hours with some weekends and national travel required at times.
  • Work flexibly and reactively to a high-volume video workflow.
  • Ability to carry out work from height (elevated platforms).

Beneficial to have:
  • Knowledge and experience of graphic design or photography.
  • Proven track record in the design/implementation and development of resources in education or sport
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise workflows.
  • Knowledge and experience of storyboarding and scripting.

If appointed, you will require an Enhanced DBS Check to be completed prior to starting.

Our Organisation

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
