We are currently looking for a full-time experienced Video Editor to join our growing creative services team remotely in the UK. Reporting directly to the Senior Video Production Coordinator, this individual will assist in the creation of high-quality video and graphics content for in-house as well as client-centric projects that bring to life their creative vision and tell a compelling story.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Video Production Coordinator with planning and execution of videos for clients, particularly during production, editing, and delivery;
  • Maintain asset archive and naming conventions;
  • Capture, ingest, edit and produce videos as part of an art and video production team;
  • Assist with pre-production, production, and post-production of video;
  • Follow graphics standards and branding guidelines during the production of videos;
  • Work as a team with the Video Production Coordinator to track and communicate video production status of individual projects with project stakeholders;
  • Work with graphics manipulation software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects to create and edit imagery as required to complete video projects;
  • Interact with the Managing Director, Creative Services, Sales, Editorial teams regularly on collaborative projects across the creative department.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with clients, teammates, and freelancers;
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively while taking direction from the managing director, production coordinators, and senior management.
  • Follow script and storyboard on some projects, while also producing original content;
  • Balance multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines;
  • Assisting with videography may be required;
  • Additional duties as required

Required:

  • We are seeking a candidate who is outgoing, creative, and possesses exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in video editing or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational abilities and be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • It is essential that the candidate work effectively in a remote team environment as well as independently, with minimal supervision, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • The successful candidate must also possess strong creative skills and be receptive to constructive criticism, maintaining a flexible attitude.
  • A positive and professional demeanor is crucial.
  • The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, follow company asset management standards, and be open-minded. Experience with the production process for online media publishing would be an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • ability to handle complex projects and numerous assets. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating both short-form reels and long-form documentary-style videos.
  • Experience and comfort using Premiere Pro, and proficiency in using masking tools, keyframing, resizing footage, and rendering is required.
  • The successful candidate must also be comfortable with audio editing and color correction within Premiere Pro. A keen eye for graphic design and layout, as well as knowledge of fonts, is essential.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Audition is also required, including the ability to edit audio and create audio-only projects/podcasts.
  • The candidate should have experience in Illustrator and be able to import/create vector assets for use in other Adobe projects. InDesign skills are necessary on occasion to create engaging PDFs.
  • The candidate should be skilled in Photoshop for the creation of video assets, imagery for articles, and images for social media.
  • Proficiency in After Effects is required, with the ability to create or use templates for title sequences and animated assets for use in videos.
  • The candidate should also be comfortable using Meta Business Suite, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
  • Lastly, the candidate should be comfortable with filming using a DSLR camera and audio recording equipment.
