At Sir John Thursby Community College, we are passionate about our young people and believe that all our students should be known, valued and loved. We are a successful, confident and ambitious school, and we are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher (Climate for Learning) following the recent promotion of the current post holder.
We offer an exciting, dynamic and supportive environment in which to work and are looking for a candidate who can build on the strong foundations that are currently in place to make a positive difference to the lives of our students. The successful candidate will lead on developing our climate for learning and leading our pastoral care teams.
We are an oversubscribed 11-16 secondary school and we are fortunate to work in an fantastic building with excellent facilities.
We are looking for a driven and passionate leader with the inspiration, motivation, vision and expertise to:
- Develop, communicate and deliver the strategic vision for the school
- Ensure that achievement rises across all subjects due to there being an excellent climate for learning
- Provide dynamic and professional leadership and management of the school
- Manage staff and resources effectively
The successful candidate will fully embrace our ethos of ‘Belong, Believe Achieve’ whilst bringing fresh ideas that will build on current strengths and achievements.
