The job on offer

As Head of Practice, you will lead a passionate, diverse, and growing team of over 2,500 UK based IT professionals delivering services for our UK clients. The practice includes a variety of capabilities organised around professional communities including Engineers, Project Managers, User Experience Designers, and Architects.

Your role
- Own the people experience across all the practices - building an inclusive, exciting, and fulfilling environment for people to develop and grow
  • Developing our recruitment and attraction strategy and growth targets across all professional disciplines
  • Designing and implementing our approach to continuously evolve our professional capabilities in line with industry trends and client demand
  • Evolving our organisation structure in line with client demand and industry direction
  • Creating the career framework to support individual and team growth and development through role assignments, rotations, academies, training, and mentorships
  • Managing the supply of capability into our client delivery teams
  • Working with UK and Global practices alongside our ecosystem of partners to source specialist skills
  • Defining the methods, tools, standards, we use within each of our professions
  • Creating vibrant and active professional communities that share knowledge, experience and engage with local communities, academic and industry groups
  • Actively supporting our People Strategy around attracting, engaging and developing Talent
Your profile
  • Leading large teams of (500+) of IT Professionals in a projects/consulting service business
  • A track record of running large scale (100+ people) recruitment campaigns and growing capacity including setting up academies and junior talent programmes
  • Ability to run a large P&L, performance management, managing against supply and demand KPIs
  • A deep understanding of industry trends and how this will influence future capability demands
  • A strong network of contacts across the technology industry - particularly recruitment and potential partners
  • Experience across multiple sectors including government/public services
  • Professional background in the technology industry, experience across the project lifecycle
  • Ability to lead design and implement cultural and behavioral change initiatives
  • Collaborative, and passionate for creating a great people experience
  • Outstanding communications skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • An understanding of the fundamental strategies necessary to support the employee lifecycle and a positive employee experience
