The Role:

The Vice President Engineering reports to the SVP of Operations and serves as a member of the Operations leadership team, providing overall strategic leadership and vision to the company for all facets of project engineering, process engineering, process technology and improvement, capital planning, central analytical and pilot plant operations.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Engineering & Capital Planning

• Implement the strategic engineering direction within the organization including continuous improvement and innovation efforts that drive execution of world class process engineering and technology capabilities and standardization.
• Build and execute technology multi-year plans to achieve the business objectives.
• Prepare and manage engineering operating and capital budgets consistent with P&L and company financial goals.
• Identify and incorporate best practices in engineering and process improvements; executing projects implementing these best practices.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to proactively match and coordinate engineering resources and priorities to deliver needed business improvements.
• Partner with Manufacturing & EHSQ and across business units to resolve engineering issues, support business planning and seek synergies to achieve economies of scale throughout the business.
• Responsible for global capital planning tool, capital project cost tracking, forecasting and reporting; lead the capital budgeting process.
• Lead and advise on Capital Authorization Requests process and CAR quality across the organization.
• Measurement and reporting of capital project KPI’s.
• Execute on of process improvement, debottlenecking, yield improvement capital projects (at plant for plant).
• Ensure timely execution of engineering projects, and delivery within budget.
• Ensure company’s engineering know-how and technical data is securely maintained and retrieved.
• Own and maintain Operations Capital Project Prioritization program.
• Resolve priority conflicts across engineering responsibilities and ensures business objectives are met.

Process Technology

• Provide deep process and technology expertise to plant engineering and production for process optimization and technical trouble-shooting.
• Create and manage organization global analytical stands and methods.
• Provide raw material evaluation.
• Oversee pilot plant operations globally.

Project Management

• Global leader of large capital project execution and quality assurance of project management across the organization.
• Provide senior project management.

• Cultivate a highly skilled, motivated and effective organization to enable Operational Excellence.
• Manage employee performance, motivating the workforce, attracting, retaining and developing employees in a diverse multi country environment.
