Medivet have an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join the fun, down-to-earth and caring team team at the avenues in Hull.
Our veterinary surgeons are at the front line of delivering exceptional care and play an integral part of each one of our sites, from routine health checks to advanced surgeries you’ll work directly with clients and their pets to offer care that’s bespoke to them.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 39 hours a week over four days days a week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends but we're open to being flexible where we can so get in touch and let us know what works for you.
Salary package of up to £55,000 PA, Including:

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Key accountabilities
Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all patients and clients.- Assess, examine and diagnose patients medical issues.
- Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds.
- Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required.
- Prescribe medication.
- Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations.
- Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock.
- Carry out euthanasia when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain patients medical records.
Skills and experience
Registered with the RCVS.- Qualified MRCVS.
- Commitment to animal welfare.
- Ability to keep on top of practice protocols and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills.
Branch
The branch has two consult rooms, prep room, theatre, x-ray and dental rooms and routinely caries out orthopaedic and endodontic work, as well as providing the local community with more day-to-day services. You would be working with an experienced vet, RVN, two SVN’s, two Patient Care Assistants’ and a receptionist.
