Are you looking for a practice who genuinely cares about their team? A practice who prioritises their people above all else? Then look no further! Careful diary management, a flexible rota and a strong focus on communication, wellbeing and teamwork combine to make a truly outstanding working environment.
What’s on offer?
- A salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
- Work life balance with real flex
- The opportunity to work for a practice that prides itself on nurturing their staff’s mental/physical wellbeing.
About the role
This role will involve a mixture of consults and surgical cases and we are happy to tailor the clinical duties depending on your area of interest. You will be working across our 2 sites, which are about 15 minutes apart and both practices are very well equipped for both consulting and operating.
Our flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we can fix or flex our patterns to suit you. There is no out of hours with this role; the ideal candidate would take a share in the weekend rota which is currently 1 in 5 (9-6 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday).
We have an outstanding nursing team who are highly experienced and support the vets by performing nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures including ultrasound, blood sampling, IV catheter placement dental x-rays, scale and polish and much more.
A huge amount of care has gone into ensuring the diary enables vets time to think, research and discuss cases. Every morning from 9.30-10 the diary is closed off and all clinical team members sit and participate in clinical rounds. Vets also have a day week off the rota to catch up on telephone calls, case research and CPD and to facilitate working alongside a colleague on either in patients or surgery. This allows professional development to happen regularly and our team to have time to talk and learn from each other. Our vets get an hour for lunch, and we block off a consult every hour as a catch-up slot. We don’t think overbooking the day leads to good outcomes for either our patients or our colleagues, so we don’t do it!
