We are a 13 Vet, 13 RVN team with 3 Patient Care Assistants and 10 receptionists all supporting our teams! We have a real focus on each other's progression and development and work to delivering gold standard care. We have dental x-ray and a cardiac Doppler, one of our Vets has a special interest in cardiology. We have another Vet working towards a certificate in anaesthesia. We work to 15 minute appointments with sufficient breaks for catch up time and work cases up well. Health & Wellbeing is so important to us, that much so we have a mental health first aider in each of our practices. We take part in our company's refresh scheme meaning weekly funded for hot drinks, cakes or a health option is also available!
Jen our Head Vet shares her experiences “I've been Head Vet of the Glasgow Hub for a year and a half, and have really enjoyed my time here as part of a friendly and outgoing team who work well together and know how to have a laugh whilst getting the work done! I'm moving on within the company to a promoted post and although I'm looking forward to my new challenge, I am definitely sad to be leaving those I currently work with. They even make the hardest days better with cups of tea, a smile and a chat…and if you're lucky a cake too.
Everyone is committed to giving the highest standard of care and we all help each other achieve this as much as possible, supporting one another and using our individual skills to continuously improve our service. The leadership both within the practices and more widely within CVS are equally supportive, actively encouraging certificates and further development, and ensuring our wellbeing is looked after as well as our clinical growth. I couldn't recommend the practices enough, and am grateful for the time I have spent here”
We strive for a light hearted working atmosphere with plenty of humour! We are a close, supportive team and a work/life balance is important to us. We are surrounded by shops and cafes for lunchtime treats!
Rewarding our people: We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
