Are you a senior functional expert who can help the customer service team build LEGO love whilst following best practice with regards to customer privacy and data protection?

Bring your data privacy expertise our Consumer and Shopper Engagement department and help us ensure strong governance and best-in-class processes when it comes to safeguarding customer privacy!

Core Responsibilities

  • Be the department’s go-to person on all matters related to data protection and privacy including providing data privacy training

  • Handle customer complaints related to data privacy of children and adults

  • Assist in the design of compliant processes and solutions related to customer service e.g., order management, social media, kids’ communities

  • Ensure personal data is used in compliance with our privacy policy

  • Seek opportunities for privacy enhancing technologies supporting our CSE function

  • Assist and collaborate closely with our appointed Data Protection Officer/Privacy team and legal representatives

  • Support the digital development teams with guidance on data collection, deletion, and retention, taking a broad view across the digital ecosystem within the LEGO Group

  • Help support our consumers’ data subject rights by overseeing the customer DSAR process and tools

The CSE department is a team of around 1000 employees with offices in the UK, Germany, USA, Singapore and Shanghai, supporting 5 million customer engagements per year across multiple channels (phone, email, chat, social media, web, owned apps and platforms). Our customers are based around the globe!

The purpose of this role is to support the CSE team and other adjacent functions in all global matters to do with privacy and data protection and act as an interface to other legal, data privacy and related functions around the LEGO Group.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience supporting a global privacy function/programme

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly skilled at working across teams to achieve shared outcomes

  • Ability to influence and to set the tone with a strong intuition for business

  • Knowledge of a customer service or contact centre department from a privacy perspective

  • Experience within a large international organisation, dealing with data privacy matters from many different countries including the EU, US and China is beneficial
