The Role

We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team in Northampton.

This role has no OOH or on-call. Both 4x10 hours and 5x8 hours patterns are available with Saturday shifts on a rota (with time off in lieu).

Our flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we can fix or flex our patterns to suit you

Our First Opinion team enjoy working closely alongside our referral Veterinary Surgeons, who are certificate holders in a variety of small animal disciplines. You will have clinical independence, utilising our well-equipped internal lab alongside in-house endoscopy and on-site CT (as well digital radiography, doppler ultrasonography, purpose-built dental suite, and mobile MRI service). Our referral teams are ready to help; you will rarely have to refer a case externally, and you can follow the investigations that will be happening in the same building. We are the perfect environment for learning new skills and achieving advanced qualifications. All of our branches have recently enjoyed full refurbishment to create a truly modern working environment, in-line with other referral hospitals.

The salary will be up to £65,000 depending on experience, relocation package also available up to £5,000

About Us

We are situated in picturesque Northamptonshire, offering a wide range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities for all, with great links to London and Birmingham. We have a great team of 13 Veterinary Surgeons (majority of them are certificate holders), 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Kennel Assistants and a Lab Technician.

Applicant Requirements

We require a MRCVS-qualified veterinary surgeon with a passion for gold standard animal care and providing an exceptional service to our loyal client base. The ideal candidate will be confident consulting, performing first opinion surgical procedures, and providing dedicated inpatient care. We encourage further development and can provide support for those seeking to pursue a certificate.
