Job description
Salary: £18 000 per year (equivalent to £13.50 per hour) PLUS travel allowance to and from Baldock.
Hours: Monday to Friday 3pm to 7pm/8pm
Stevenage Overnight Parcels is a member of The APC Overnight delivery network, dedicated to the distribution of time sensitive parcels within the SG postcode. We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our small, friendly team. This is a key role where the primary function is to manage PM parcel sortation and despatch operations within a dynamic and time-critical environment.
Responsibilities include -
- Overseeing parcel sortation operations
- Managing a small team of 1-2 sorters
- Ensuring that FLTs, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose
- Maintaining high standards of security in the warehouse
- Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are achieved and maintained
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Pallet stock control
- Providing leadership for staff to complete sortation operations within time frames
- Developing and training new team members
- Key Holder
Skills Required
- FLT experience
- Used to working to tight deadlines
- Proven supervisory/leadership skills
- A confident decision maker and problem solver
- Flexibility on working hours
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills particularly with Microsoft Office systems
