About us
We are a wonderful first opinion, Small Animal practice based in Derby. We have a wonderful team of 1 Senior Vet, 1 second year graduate, 1 Head RVN, 2 RVN's and 1 SVN. Our team are passionate about providing gold standard care to our clients and their pets. We have a strong ethos of teamwork and communication. We hold weekly Head of Department meetings to ensure effective communication and regularly update our notice boards with relevant information. We encourage regular supervisions for our team members.
The clinic has light, large and airy consult rooms, dedicated x-ray, and ultrasound room, 1 modern theatre and prep area, in house lab, dental machine and separate cattery and kennels. The practice is ideally located close to Derby town centre with free on-site parking.
About the role
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you may also be required to participate in a weekend rota and OOH rota.
We will have a structured development plan to ensure the graduate is supported and a constant assessment of their clinical skills is carried out to ensure the right level of support is provided to allow them to develop as a Veterinary Surgeon.
