Job description
First Call Contract Services are recruiting van drivers to work for Royal Mail in the Sheffield area. We have vacancies at various Royal Mail depots in South, South East and North Sheffield (postcodes S12 2AF, S8 0PG and S5 0QH).
Your job will involve working 5 days per week (including weekends on rotation), delivering small parcels and letters. You will be given a company van for use whilst at work.
You will be required to work a variety of shift times, which could start anywhere from 08.00 – 13.00 – but the finish will be no later than 20.00 each day.
Requirements:
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Happy to do some walking as well as driving
- Flexible on your shift start time
- Organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service
- Think of yourself as a people-person and a friendly face in the community
What we do for you
- Pay that’s 10% above the market average in our sector, paid weekly with an hourly rate of from £13.37 p/hr (depending on depot location could be more – Sunday hours £14.49)

First Call Contract Services will organise and process your Royal Mail security clearance – all you need to do is apply and we will tell you what documents we need (passport / ID card and driving licence showing current address are enough).
Security clearances take two days, after which you can start immediately.
