UX/UI Designer
Overview
The UX/UI Designer will play an integral part of Team Tech, leading on all feature, functionality and interfaces of our product portfolio, working on key projects across the organisation to deliver exceptional user experiences across all web and app-based products. Working alongside our dev team, you will lead on all user interaction/experience tasks and development, ensuring not only aesthetically pleasing visuals, but also delivering a streamlined customer journey. Working on new and existing products, you will be responsible for continuous improvement and innovation to ensure that our products work seamlessly for both our in-house delivery team and clients.
Main Duties
- Turn visions into concepts and capture client requirements to achieve the best user-centred result
- Apply strategic visual thinking to deliver integrated end-to-end user experience solutions with a focus on user needs and business goals
- Designing the required assets following the standard guidelines to solve user experience problems, therefore enhancing accessibility and usability. Master web and mobile technology and their impact on the feasibility of design
- Design innovative, functional and responsive interfaces for websites, digital platforms and mobile applications across different devices.
- Create and refine low and high-fidelity UI mockups, prototypes and graphical assets to the agile development team to ensure the build meets needs and vision.
- Create any collateral design material that is required for the product
- Work on multiple projects at one time, clearly communicate design proposals and decisions to stakeholders, including clients and project team members
- Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, product management, and other team members
- Raise the bar of our user experience and user interface execution
- Strong Portfolio and case studies demonstrating excellence in SaaS design.
Person Specification
Our ideal candidate will be a passionate and versatile UI/UX Designer who can jump straight in and join our existing Dev team, to deliver on our ever-growing list of new product launches over the next 18 months. We are looking for someone who has experience in a UX/UI focused role who can use their creative skills to help us shape intuitive and accessible technology products. You will have experience using react and react native. You will have a passion and excellence for design whilst collaborating with different disciplines across the business, working closely with developers, marketers and the customer service team to explore, build and deliver your designs.

Essential
- Demonstrable experience (3+ years) in designing user interfaces and graphics for digital products, from mobile apps to web platforms
- Organised, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
- A great understanding of brand guidelines & design principles for offline and online media
- Knowledge of UX and UI best practices and standards for web and mobile applications
- Knowledge of Adobe package, Figma, and other tools
- Ability to communicate and present design ideas and pitches
- Understanding of Wordpress sites, including; adding plugins, updating plugin, updating and creating new pages
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of design principles.
- Strong understanding of CSS
- A passion for, and experience in:

Desirable
- UX/UI experience working within an ed-tech organisation
- Experience working in a multi-skilled, multi-functioning dev team (Full-stack, Mid-stack, Junior Devs)
- Experience of working with react native
- Experience working with a MVC framework such as laravel, Yii or symphony
Experience working with modern javascript front end languages such as React JS or similar
