UX/UI Design Lecturer/Instructor (Hourly Paid_Evening Hours)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Graphic Designer to take on the role of UI/UX Design Instructor at the Academy of Digital Industries UK. In this key role, you will work collaboratively within a Programme, Community & Course team, deploying specialist expertise to craft the workshops and to lead on the best Teaching and Learning experiences for the students.

RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

  • Be passionate about providing mentorship, direction, and sharing your knowledge by interacting with students.
  • Lead on-site workshops following a detailed syllabus that includes an active discussion environment and project-based learning.
  • Bring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
  • Provide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience.
  • Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students.
  • Up to date understanding of best game UX practices and current visual trends
  • A passion for teaching

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 4+ years of proven experience in the field
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) or similar
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing skills in UX and visual design
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Great networking skills
  • Able to work with a wide variety of people

DESIRABLE but not required;

  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills
  • Experience in behaviour change research
  • Teaching Experience
  • Strong community presence

Location: Central London London
Pay Rate: Hourly £70-£100P/H
Engagement Hours: 19:00 - 21:00
Engagement Days: 2 or 4 days a week (free decision).

Workshops take place twice a week after 7PM and usually last for 2 or 3 hours. Workshop dates & schedules may be adjusted based on the candidates preference and availability.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £70.00-£100.00 per hour
