UX Team at H&B
You will be joining an existing team of designers, product managers, researchers, and stakeholders all working towards a common goal – to create the best experiences for our shoppers online and in store whilst also creating apps allowing our colleagues instore to be as efficient and helpful to customers as possible too.
Putting the customer first you will be a bridge between our digital platforms and stores to ensure a holistic journey is had by our customers and that we ensure a seamless experience. We have huge ambitions for users to have the ability to interact with digital products whilst in our stores, this will be using designated tech devices placed in and around our stores as well as the customer's own mobile devices.
About the role
- Designing smart solutions for colleagues in store systems, so they have the tools to serve our customers at a whole new level.
- Designing for desktop, tablet and HHT (handheld terminal) devices.
- Reviewing existing journeys and creating frictionless experiences for our users.
- Designs from wireframing, through ideation to high-fidelity UI.
- Be hands-on with user research, working with the research and optimisation team. There will be opportunity to get into our stores to get insight from staff colleagues and customers, testing on physical devices. Some research will also be done remotely.
- Communicating designs to stakeholders within your squad, including product managers and developers.
- Help contribute towards a global design system.
Skills and experience
- Proficient in Figma (or similar)
- Knowledge of UserZoom/UserTesting.com (or similar)
- Experience designing for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- An understanding of user research techniques and when to use them
- Ecommerce and/or retail experience
- Ability to work in a team and communicate well with stakeholders
- Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
