At a glance
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our Belfast Product department. Reporting to our UX/UI Lead Designer, you will assist with the design of workflows and user interfaces. You will articulate and communicate the user journeys and co-operate with Developers and Product Owners to create, build and maintain our product offering.
Job Title: UX/UI Designer
Location: Belfast
Salary: Negotiable, depends on experience
Work Pattern: Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00, Hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- Plot user journeys and design user workflows.
- Refine low level wireframes into clear user interface designs.
- Provide input to product design and UX workflow.
- Understand commercial and technical constraints of the MVP.
- Design features for UI and command-line interfaces in line with style guides and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with Developers and Product owners, providing guidance to help them implement features and solutions.
- Work as part of a large customer experience team that spans across products, to ensure consistency in both presentation and functionality.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to translate requirements and to improve the user experience.
About you
Knowledge and abilities
- Demonstrable experience as a UX designer in a software development environment
- An understanding of the full end to end UX lifecycle.
- Proven ability to use tools, techniques, and methodologies to develop and communicate the user experience (Journey Mapping, Prototyping, etc.)
- Proven experience using Adobe XD (or equivalent software) for prototyping and designing.
- Proven analytical skills, data driven, detail oriented and a commercial awareness.
- Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum-based environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills combined with a positive approach.
- A drive for sharing knowledge and learning from others.
- Experience in dealing with multiple tasks and effectively organising workload.
- Experience in making informed choices.
- Experience in taking ownership of work and embracing challenges.
